Terms of Use
MemOrLearn Educational Platform
Effective Date: June 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the MemOrLearn platform, including account registration, subscriptions, payments, and acceptable use of all learning modules.
By registering or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using the MemOrLearn platform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not register or use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including students, teachers, and administrators.
2. Desktop Use Requirement
MemOrLearn is designed and optimised exclusively for use on desktop and laptop computers. By registering, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The Service is intended for desktop browsers only.
- Mobile and tablet browsers are not officially supported and may produce degraded or broken experiences.
- We do not guarantee functionality, layout, or data integrity when the Service is accessed on a mobile device.
- Support requests arising from mobile use will not be accepted.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
The Service is intended for use by students and educators. Student accounts may be created by a teacher on behalf of a student. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use this Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
When you register, you provide your first name, last name, and email address. You agree that:
- All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
- You will maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
- You will notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- One person may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
The Service supports two primary account types:
- Student — created via invitation from a teacher or direct registration with a student subscription plan.
- Teacher — registered independently with a teacher subscription plan, with the ability to manage student accounts and assign credits.
4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Billing
Access to the full Service requires an active subscription. Subscription plans are offered at varying price points for teachers and students. Current pricing and plan details are displayed on the subscription plans page.
We may offer a free trial period for eligible accounts. Free trials are available once per user and are non-transferable. At the end of a free trial, your account will not be automatically charged unless you have added payment details and opted into a paid plan.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorise us to charge the subscription fee to your chosen payment method. We do not store your card number or CVV. Stripe stores and processes card data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
Subscriptions may be set to auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You may disable auto-renewal at any time from your account settings before the renewal date. If auto-renewal is disabled, your subscription will expire at the end of the current billing period and access to paid features will cease.
Teachers may purchase credits to assign to student accounts. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable between teacher accounts. Credit balances are stored against the teacher’s account and may be assigned to students at any time.
All subscription fees and credit purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us within 14 days of the charge.
5. Permitted Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to distribute, reproduce, or transmit copyrighted content without authorisation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the platform software.
- Share your login credentials with third parties.
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair the platform.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.
6. Learning Modules and Content
The Service includes the following educational modules:
- Flash Cards — user-created card decks and study progress.
- Math Fluency — timed arithmetic practice with progress tracking.
- Typing Tutor — keyboard practice with speed and accuracy recording.
- Bible Memory — user-created verse collections with attempt tracking.
- Grammar Course — structured grammar lessons with grade and streak tracking.
Content you create within the platform (such as flashcard decks, verse collections, and custom course materials) remains your own. By storing it on the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host and display it for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. Teacher and Student Relationships
Teachers using the Service may create and manage student accounts, assign credits, and view student learning progress. By using teacher features, you agree that:
- You will only manage accounts for students under your direct supervision or care.
- You will obtain appropriate consent before adding a student to the platform.
- You are responsible for the appropriate use of student data visible to you through the teacher panel.
- Student data shared with a teacher is limited to progress and performance information relevant to the learning modules.
8. Demo Mode
The Service includes a public demo mode accessible without registration. In demo mode, all activity data is stored exclusively in your browser’s session storage and is permanently deleted when you close the browser tab. No personal data is transmitted to or stored by us during a demo session. The demo is provided “as-is” for evaluation purposes only.
9. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to operate the Service, including but not limited to payment processing, analytics, and site indexing. These third parties may collect or process data about you in accordance with their own privacy policies.
We reserve the right to add, remove, or change the third-party services we use at any time. We will not provide individual notice to users when this occurs. The current list of third-party services is maintained in our Privacy Policy, which will be updated to reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
All software, design, text, graphics, and other content forming the Service (excluding user-generated content) is the property of MemOrLearn or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.
11. Availability and Changes
We strive to maintain consistent availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible. We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MemOrLearn and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of progress, or service interruptions. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 6 months preceding the claim.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable to the location of the Service operator.
